Course Curriculum:
The training program consists of 275 hours of general construction, safety and communications training that candidates need to join a wide range of skilled trades. Several meetings were held by BIA and SBCCD to define a curriculum, specifically for BIA trade members’ needs.
Orientation Day:
On December 2nd, the BIA along with BIA members Simpson Strong Tie, 20/20 HVAC, Lewis Corp., Trilogy Plumbing, and Boudreau Pipeline participated in industry presentations on the first day of class orientation for the inaugural Labor Training Course being held at San Bernardino Community College District. This 275-hour educational course will offer students the foundation to become tradesmen in our industry.
MOU Signing:
On Thursday, May 23rd a joint kickoff event was held to highlight this collaborative partnering and sign a memorandum of understanding. KVCR local television and radio was in attendance to capture the event.
