On Friday, June 15th, the BIA Baldy View Chapter hosted our 5th Annual Housing Policy Conference in San Bernardino. The event consisted of four discussion panels and keynote speeches delivered by John Mulville (Metrostudy) and Mark Boud (Real Estate Economics). Over 200 people attended the event, including many of the region's elected officials and business leaders. Thank you to all who attended and participated in this event.
Southern California Association of Governments President Alan Wapner gave opening remarks to set the stage for the first panel, an in-depth discussion on the Federal, State, Regional and Local policies challenges facing the homebuilding industry. This was followed by four other discussion panels touching on the following topics – Social Justice and California Housing Crisis, Energy Efficiency in New Home Development, and Strategies to Address the Construction Labor Shortage. The event concluded with keynote speeches given by John Mulville of Metrostudy, and Mark Boud of Real Estate Economics.
