Michael S. Garrison - Hero of the Game

The Baldy View Chapter is extremely proud of our Riverside Chapter colleague, Michael S. Garrison, Director of Government Affairs, for his service to the nation and for being recognized September 25 at the Ontario Reign hockey game.  The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), hosted the Kings for the first-ever Kings vs. Kings intra-squad contest at Citizens Business Bank Arena. During the National Anthem Ceremony, Michael S. Garrison, Major, USMC (Retired) was recognized as the Hero of the Game. Major Garrison served in the Marine Corps for 14 years and deployed to Iraq on three separate occasions prior to being medically retired.  His personal military awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (awarded 5 times), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and the Combat Action Ribbon.   This recognition was part of the Reign’s season-long commitment to recognize service men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces.  Way to go Michael!
