The Association Excellence Awards is an annual program designed to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of state and local HBAs and executive officers in the field of association management.
BIA Baldy View Chapter won four 2016 awards for the following categories:
Best Website: ("www.biabuild.com")
This category includes any HBA website that directly benefits consumers and/or members of the association. Website is judged based on design, with timely information that is easy to access. Site is also judged based on innovative design, unique features and demonstrated value to members, along with website planning, promotion and maintenance.
Best Local Government Affairs Effort: ("Ensuring School District Fees Pass the Test")
This category includes government relations or political involvement programs that specifically lobby local elected officials or public agencies (e.g. cities, counties, school district, water districts) on broader HBA member issues, such as land use, growth, environmental issues or tax legislation.
Best Membership Event: ("2016 Membership Drive")
This category includes any association event including awards programs, special workshops, innovative networking events, orientations, etc. Judges will evaluate specific components of the project, including planning, development or growth stemming from the event, value to members, communications/promotional materials and its innovative aspects.
Best Parade or Tour of Homes: ("BIA BV Backyard BBQ & 'Q View Model Home Tours")
Single- or scattered-site tours of homes (either new and/or remodeled) which benefit the association. Nominees were evaluated by specific components of the project, including planning, project goals, time line, budget, communications and promotional materials, challenges faced/addressed and innovative aspects of the program or event.
